LINUX & UNIX

Despite the fact that Unix was already designed at the end of the 60s of the last century, it is still alive and kicking.

Our engineers have extensive experience with Unix with whom we can be at your service.

Where Unix has existed since the 1960s, Linux has existed since the 90s of the last century.

Our engineers have extensive experience with Linux. Whether it concerns troubleshooting, optimization or security, it is all part of our daily work.

In addition, we have also experience with related systems and applications such as Apache, MySQL, Postgresql and PHP but also Zimbra, Varnish, Bind, Postfix and Lighttpd.

LINUX

Did you know that 92% of the fastest computers in the world run on Linux? The largest Linux user is Google, with more than 100,000 servers.

The Finn Linus Torvalds released the Linux kernel for the first time in 1991.

UNIX

Did you know that the first version of UNIX was designed in 1969 at Bell Labs (the research department of the American telecom giant AT&T), by Ken Thompson & Dennis Ritchie?

The graphic user environments of Unix have been available since the early 1980s. MacOS is Unix as well as IOS, the operating system of the iPad and iPhone. The operating system of Google, such as smartphones and tablets, is based on Linux, which has many features of Unix.

Virussen en Lunix & Unix

Both Unix and Linux suffer much less from computer viruses than other systems. The estimate differs but in general it is assumed that there are between 100 and 500 Linux viruses. That small number of Linux viruses never caused a massive virus epidemic in the Linux community. Compared to the enormous amount of Windows viruses and worms, the number of Linux viruses is simply negligible.
